Luminara AI ("Luminara", "we", "our") is an AI knowledge companion that helps you capture, understand, and recall your knowledge. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data We Collect

• Knowledge content — the notes, ideas, and content you capture or import into the app.
• Account data — when you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier (and your name/email only if you choose to share it) to associate your data with your account.
• Usage data — anonymous analytics (e.g. feature usage) via PostHog to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core service: AI understanding, search, and knowledge organization of your content.
• To sync your knowledge across your own devices (when you sign in).
• To improve the product through anonymous, aggregated analytics.

3. AI Processing

To generate insights, your captured content is sent securely to our AI service. Your content is not used to train public models and is processed only to serve your requests.

4. Data Storage

Your knowledge is stored locally on your device and, when you sign in, synced to our secure cloud (Supabase) under your account. You can export or delete your data at any time from within the app.

5. Your Rights

• Export all your data at any time.
• Delete any or all of your knowledge at any time.
• Sign out or delete your account (contact support below).

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following processors: Supabase (cloud storage & auth), DeepSeek (AI), and PostHog (analytics).

7. Children's Privacy

Luminara is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
